Maternity Photos at Iao Valley

My favorite place on Maui is Iao Valley, within the valley lies beautiful lush mountains and the purest water, streaming down in a stream that flows between the tall peaks of the valley. These mountains are said to get more rainfall then Kauai even, making it one of the wettest places on earth. The cultural gardens where I photographed these maternity photos sit next to the stream in Iao Valley, providing a great place for exotic lush backdrops. If you ever find yourself on Maui, I highly recommend visiting Iao valley, and give yourself some time to really explore the area.

“Weathered and Laced” Yogini Model Photos

Living on Maui offers me many amazing locations and backdrops for my photography, but most of the locations are in natural settings. Having moved here from previously living in some of the greatest cities in the world, I had to shift from urban backdrops to jungle and sea backdrops. I love the natural settings but I was missing the raw textures and contrast that the urban settings offer me for fashion and glamour shoots. But I knew with the right shoot I could capture the beauty of the industrial side of Maui. The location we captured these shots at was at an old military bunker right in the city. We were even escorted by a police officer to the location after he saw us out shooting at some other nearby location, he offered to take us to this location that is normally gated off so that we could have a unique backdrop. My model in these is an amazing yoga teacher on Maui, she hired me to captured some model photos for her to use to submit to the American Apparel model contest. Cascading Aerial Performers

This was an amazing photo shoot I captured at a near by waterfall on the north shore of Maui. It’s a remote location that you need to hike into, but it’s well worth the trek. We brought along a expert climber who rigged up the silks that the performers used. One of these ladies used to be one of the performers for Cirque Polynesia, and asked me to capture these special and rare images that they would use for their promotional material. I feel truly inspired by all the amazing artsits and talented subjects that I continually meet and get to photograph. Exotic Beauty Pregnancy Photos

This photo session with Irene and Bob came out so exotically beautiful, full of rich colors, textures, and love. I always enjoy capturing the love between people, there’s nothing more satisfying to me to photograph the love that sincerely emanates from one’s soul. The land that Irene and Bob live on in Haiku was a perfect place to shoot, we captured the richness of the colors there, vibrant greens, and the deep reds of the ginger flowers. There were lots of beautiful backgrounds to use, bamboo forest, trppical jungle, a outdoor bed with mosquito net, (one of my favorite sets), and just the right amount of cloud cover to soften the sunlight. I love to photograph expecting couples, capturing the union that created their child to be is so special. I feel honored to witness their love and the unfolding of their family.

Sexy Mad Hatter Fashion Shoot

I recently went back to my home state of Colorado for an autumn visit. Fall is my favorite season, the smells and colors are so rich and nourishing for my soul. I was very privileged to have the opportunity to visit an amazing home outside of Aspen, and do a series of photo shoots there. The home sits on 22 acres amongst the national forest, with a river running through the property. There are several structures and art installations on the property that were built by the owner, who is an amazing artist and visionary. I really let my creativity come through in a playful and quirky depiction with this sexy Mad Hatter series.
